Feature Support Matrix
General
This document lists all OpenSync features across all OpenSync releases. Each newer OpenSync release holds all features introduced in that release and all prior releases (Example is OS 2.0 holds OS 2.0, OS 1.4, OS 1.2, …).
The OpenSync feature support matrix uses the below explained columns. The first three columns detail the OpenSync feature structure, while the last three columns include information about hardware support and documentation.
Column name | Explanation |

OpenSync Category | Core OpenSync categories. These categories enclose functional families of feature groups. The only exception are 3rd Party features — these are the features that may belong to different functional families, but are developed by the third-party partner companies. |
OpenSync Group | Features within a category grouped by their purpose. |
Summary | Official OpenSync feature name. |
SDK columns (Qualcomm, Broadcom, OpenWrt, …) | SDK version indicates the platform a feature has been deployed and stabilized on. An empty SDK field indicates a feature is not supported on that specific platform. Supporting other SDK variants may require additional code changes and verification. |
Public docs | Design page, specific requirements document, or a general overview document that describes the feature in detail. |
Remark | Remarks about current feature status and exceptions. These remarks apply to the current feature status for the specific OpenSync version:
