OpenSync 6.2 Feature Designs
- Reverse SSH support — Adds capability to OpenSync nodes to accept SSH connections and provide remote Shell access through pre-defined configuration and for a pre-defined duration of time.
- Ookla SpeedTest Multiserver / Multi connection support and IPv6 — Type or paste something here to turn it into an excerpt.
- Flash Manager — Provides functionality to configure and rotate syslogs while storing into RAM or Flash
- 3rd Party Service Manager — An userspace manager to manage 3rd party services on OpenSync
- CA certificates keystore — This feature enables to keep up-to-date the OpenSync CA certificate without firmware upgrade.
- Robustness of WAN configuration (VLAN, PPPoe, ...) — This feature adds additional validation and rollover mechanism to OpenSync node from wrong network configuration on the WAN side
- Advanced Ethernet Client Detection — This feature adds a mechanism to monitor wired clients connected status through periodic arp request and responses.
- Additional enhancements of thermal and fan statistics — This feature adds monitoring capabilities of fan’s thermal state, target RPM, and LED state.
- Watchdog Proxy Daemon — A proxy watchdog daemon to monitor heartbeats of registered services and take appropriate actions in case of emergency
- Wi-Fi 7 - MLO - Phase 1.0 — The first phase of MLO support in OpenSync introduces an abstraction layer for remote (SDN) control (OVSDB Schema) and telemetry reporting (Protocol buffer messages through MQTT) associated to Multi Link Operation.
